New Things for the New Year!

It's a new year, so why not have some new things on the site? 

First, I updated the song on my home page. I like to update that from time to time.

The song playing is "Flicker (Kanye West Rework)" By Lorde.

Secondly, BIG change,.. I updated the site header. WOOHOO! 

That's always exciting to me when I decide to do that.

I liked the picture of me tilting my head. It was a complete accident that I captured that.

I was posing, waiting for the shutter to go off, and it never would. So, I started turning out of boredom and finally, the shutter clicked. I looked back through the shots and really loved how that picture came out. I've had fun with it and have enjoyed using it for the past 2 years. But I'm ready for a different look.

I made a header for my Etsy shop. And I really loved the outcome of it. So much, that I decided to use it for my site header as well. I made a few adjustments to make it stand out from my Etsy header.

Hope you like the new look.

I'm also going to make a 2nd header to be used on the rest of the site.

Which is something I've never done before. So it will be interesting to have that for the first time.

I also changed the colors on the sidebar. 

Instead of that soft periwinkle color with white text, 

it's now a nice, light gray with dark gray text.

I like it so much better. I have no idea why I didn't think of it sooner.

I need to update my videos section and my artfolio section.

Not sure when I'll get to that. But I need to get to it soon.

New Content in Poems & Songs Section

So, pretty much what the title said. But I've also updated the Porfolio.
There is now a nice little slideshow and the links have a new look.
I'm still sick, so I've been focusing on working on my website.
When updating my site, I have a tendency to see other areas that need updating and I start working on it. So, I got to the "Poems & Songs" section and did quite a bit of work. As well as the Portfolio.

Updated Home Page

I FINALLY updated the home page.

I updated the navigation. And updated the look of the "hidden" boxes.

(For those of you who may have not known they were there,
simply click the arrows beside the website title. And you'll see some boxes with different information in it.)

I also added a Christmas song on the music player, to make it a bit more festive.
I hope in the future to think ahead and decorate the site a bit more for Christmas.

I plan to (in the near future) add more content on the home page.
I just wanted to make some quick, much needed updates.

Updated Intro Page

WOOHOO!!! I have officially updated the intro page to my site!
(insert victory dance here)

I've been wanting to do it for about a month now. And I finally dove in and got to work.
Which, is stupid, because this is a very busy time right now. But I wanted to do it. So I did. And now, it's done.

365 Challenge

As I mentioned in my previous post, I am starting a 365 challenge.
The blog is up and designed and ready to go!
All I have to do is start taking pictures and uploading them.

As for other updates, I'm currently working on re-designing the intro page to my site. I'll post more updates as I move along with progress in that. Whatever I do, I need to do it fast. We have a big Christmas production coming up, which I am in. And I don't know how much time I'll have to work during the next week. But I can only take it one day at a time.

First Post!! - Introduction

WELCOME!

It's pretty exciting to have a blog again. 
Recently, I was looking at an older blog I used to have. It was just a personal blog. (Poetry, thoughts & beyond)
But it linked me to another blog I used for my site news. It was from 2009 - 2010.
It was really interesting to read about my endeavors from back then. And it was even more exciting to see how far I'd come in my work and my progress on the site, since then.
For the first time ever, all of my content is up on my site. Everything is completely finished. It's just a matter of updating it now and adding new content.
But after reading my old blog(s) from years ago, I realized, it was actually a lot of fun having a blog. I didn't realize how much I missed it.
So, this is me, starting up a new blog.
What you'll see:

• I'll post updates of what's happening on the site.
• And projects I'm currently working on.
• And also things I plan to work on in the future.  

As you may have guessed, that was what I did on my old blog. And I thought it would only be fitting to do the same here too.
